Hello,
Today I will give an update on the post Problems about flight tickets, more specifically about sending our baggage from Sydney to Brisbane.
Just as a refresher
An advice from a friend
Flávio Moreira, a friend of mine who has lived in Australia for a while, recommended me to look for companies able to provide baggage shipment services in a place called Kings Cross. That district is a inner-city locality in Sydney where backpackers usually stay. So finding the kind of service I need there seems to be natural, although I am not a backpacker. An alternative way
I found a company called Pack and Send. They can pick your package and take to wherever you need it. They can provide door-to-door service or you can take your to one of their service centers.
It is possible to request a quote on their website.

I requested a quote considering the shipment of a 30 Kg suitcase from Sydney to Brisbane. They gave me a estimation of AUD 100.00.
The straightforward way
After a lot of consideration, it turns out that the easiest and cheapest way of sending our luggage was dropping them whilst doing the check-in for the flight. We booked tickets from Tigerair and added 30 Kg of prepaid baggage (AUD 30.00) to each of our tickets. As a result, we dispatched 90 Kg of luggage for AUD 90.00.
Conclusion
It is good to have options and to take all of them in account. In our specific case, the best choice for sending our stuff was dispatching them in the same flight we took. However, this option imposes restrictions on the size and weight of the dispatched items. So, depending on what you want to send, it may be better to use alternative services such as Pack & Send.
Cheers!
